Travis Kelce supports Taylor Swift in sweet behind-the-scenes look at her directing ‘Patient Zero’ music video

In a glimpse behind the scenes of Taylor Swift’s latest creative endeavor, NFL star Travis Kelce appeared by her side during the filming of her new music video for “Patient Zero.” The footage, shared by Spotify, captures a moment of quiet support as Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, offers encouragement to Swift while she directs the project.

The video shoot revealed the couple dressed in matching neutral-toned sweaters, with Kelce complementing the look with a casual baseball cap. Swift, who took on the directorial role for this video, looked both tired and satisfied, a testament to the demanding process of translating her artistic vision to screen. The “Patient Zero” clip also stars actors Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell, adding cinematic weight to the music video, which reportedly draws inspiration from Swift’s past relationship with actor Joe Alwyn.

Swift and Alwyn, who were together for six years, parted ways in 2023, marking a turning point in the singer’s personal life. It was after this separation that Swift’s relationship with Kelce began to blossom. Their connection reportedly started during a stop on Swift’s Eras Tour in Kansas City, an encounter that initially did not involve an exchange of contact information but gradually led to a deepening romance.

By July 2025, Kelce made their relationship public through a deliberate social media reveal, a move that was swiftly followed by an engagement announcement the very next month. Their engagement was marked by a heartfelt post highlighting Kelce’s romantic proposal set in his flower-adorned backyard. The couple’s journey culminated in a high-profile wedding held at Madison Square Garden in New York City in July, an event that attracted considerable attention and was celebrated with a marquee sign reading “JUST&T Married.”

The couple’s dynamic has extended into public appearances, with Swift frequently seen supporting Kelce at NFL games. Their partnership also made its way into Swift’s professional sphere. At the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, where Swift won Video of the Year for “Fortnight,” she acknowledged Kelce’s positive influence on her work, recalling how his presence brought a sense of joy and magic to her video shoots.

The release of “Patient Zero” was strategically timed to coincide with the 2026 MTV VMAs, where Swift unveiled the ambitious music video to an eager audience. The project showcases her evolving artistry, merging narrative elements inspired by her personal experiences with high-profile co-stars to create a compelling visual story.

While further details about the creative process and thematic depth of the “Patient Zero” video remain limited, the public display of support between Swift and Kelce underscores the intersection of their personal and professional lives. Their relationship, which has captivated fans and media alike, continues to unfold alongside Swift’s prolific output and Kelce’s athletic career.

This collaboration and mutual presence highlight a blending of worlds—music and sports—demonstrating how public figures navigate their private lives amidst demanding careers. The behind-the-scenes look at the video shoot offers not only insight into Swift’s artistic endeavors but also a window into the couple’s supportive partnership as they advance both individually and together in the public eye.
